Superb Design & Construction
AccuteX wire EDM machines are built with Rigid, heavily ribbed high-grade Meehanite castings. Reinforced water-cooled lower arm is made of high-strength alloy for maximum stiffness.


MACHINE DESCRIPTION:
The machine body was designed by Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to assure optimized mechanical structure.  Features include:  meehanite cast honeycomb-type base, highly-ribbed column mounted with oversized UVZ axis and reinforced lower-arm to increase stiffness.  All castings are stabilized and subjected to rigid testing to insure maximum strength, permanent high precision and long durability.  

High precision servo and transmission system uses 1.260 inch dia. C1 class ball screws with sub-zero and super-finish ground process for maximum smoothness and minimum pitch error.  The axis are driven by means of closed loop, direct coupled AC servomotors with 4 millionths resolution and controlled by linear glass scale feedback system.  By adopting the latest generation ball-retainer type linear guideways of which the patented structure reduces 90% of friction variation compared to conventional ones.  The movement will be similar to a magnetic levitation even under complicated routes.  

The U-V axis mechanism has been placed in the cabinet above the working area for higher reliability in the system.  This design assures superior rigidity of the mechanism and protection against humidity and physical damage.  The Z-axis is thereby rigid enough to bear high flushing pressures without any deviation. 

The work piece-mounting table is made of stainless steel, has easy accessibility, and is designed as a standard clamping system.  This permits the setting of a wide range of work pieces making set-up time minimal.  The worktable can also accommodate most commercial clamping systems. 

All the operations related to wire handling have been simplified.  The machine is equipped with an annealing, fully automatic wire threading system (AWT) with a tip disposal unit.  Accutex’s unique intelligent servo-control wire-threading technology (patent pending), together with multi-dectors makes it the worlds fast and most reliable (threading at wire break point) automatic wire threading system on the market. 

The Windows CE based CNC system’s powerful 64 bit CPU is a high speed, stable, industrial-grade computer, featuring a powerful NC calculation function for high accuracy machining.  Comprehensive on-line help information and user-friendly operational interface presents extra powerful calculation features.
